Bunding Systems
Covertex Portable Bunding Systems are available with either frame or inflatable perimeter support, providing a portable rapidly deployable and robust product for infield secondary containment to protect the environment from spills or failure of fuel bladders and tanks. In addition the bunding systems can be utilised for the decontamination of vehicles & equipment.

Inflatable Bunds:
Made to the customer's requirements of volume, length, width and height the Inflatable Bund is comprised of a heavy duty fuel & UV reisitant liner with side walls complete with a series of inflatable perimeter tubes, ground securing details and drain ports.
Each inflatable tube is an independent sealed unit fitted with both inflation/deflation and pressure relief valves. In addition the tubes can remain attached to the liner or be removed for storage and or maintenance.
Deployment involves unrolling the Bund from its container, spreading and securing of the liner, fitting of the inflatable perimeter tubes (if not pre fitted) positioning of flexible tanks, equipment etc within the line an inflating the perimeter tubes.
Once the Bund is inflated and valves sealed the bund require no further inflation other than occasional top ups for extended deployment.
Frame Supported Bunds:
Made to the customer's requirements of volume, length, width and height the Frame Supported Bund is comprised of a heavy duty fuel & UV resistant liner with side walls complete with a modular galvanised steel or aluminium perimeter frame along with ground securing details and drain ports.
Due to the rigidness of the perimeter frame it is possible on some sizes to provide a top rain cover and pitched frame for the Bund. This cover enables a flexible tank to rise and fall below the cover while venting any fuel build up and importantly keeping rain water from entering the bund.
Deployment involves unrolling the Bund from the container, spreading and securing of the liner, positioning flexible tanks, equipment etc within the liner and assembling the modular frame around the peimeter and attaching the liner side walls to the frame.
